Capturing Nathan and Monica’s surprise proposal was such a joy, a truly heartfelt moment with the sweetest couple. I’m so glad to have met them! Nathan and I worked together to find a location that felt private and perfectly reflected what Monica loves, settling on the stunning Williamstown Botanic Gardens, where she adores being surrounded by the beauty of nature.

The plan was for Nathan to ask Monica to walk ahead so he could “take a photo” of her, and then she would turn to see him down on one knee. But the moment Monica spotted me in the gardens, she cheekily asked, “Why can’t we get that lady to take the photo?” and Nathan had to insist, with a laugh, that he really would take the photo himself. Her persistence and his playful insistence made for one of the most charming moments, and it gave us all a good laugh once she realized what was really happening!
